Back In June, while visiting family in Michigan….I was offered a challenge..it went something like this..and I dont remember exactly, so you will read on and get the idea 🙂 ps..it was all in good fun!!
MaryAnn ( My Step Mom): “Hey kids I have a lot of stuff I wanted to see if you want”??
Me: “YESSSS”!!!
MaryAnn: “Okay, Lamps, pillows, knife set..okay just take this whole box”..
Me: “OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! oh..ya know what, I dont need this plastic brown tissue cover”..
MaryAnn: “ohhhhh..too bad, you took the box, you get EVERYTHING IN IT.. ( we all laugh)
Erin ( StepSister) : Hey “Design Thoughts” why dont you take it and make it into something AWESOME!!
Me: “I accept this challenge…!!!! ( all while laughing of course)
Fast forward to today. Operation Lake MI challenge complete!! Brown plastic Cover, is now an Ombre Planter!!
Here is how I did it!!
I roughed up the plastic with Steel Wool, I wanted to make sure the paint stuck!
