I LOVE ‘EM ( Design Blogs I HEART )

Its been a while since I did a post on the Design blogs that I am currently OBSESSED with!! what does that mean exactly?? well, it means that I get online frequently, to see if they have posted anything new…some may call this blog stalking, I like to call it…I have no idea what to call it…add something “witty” here…(and is stalking design blogs really that bad..?? ) My newest current obsession is :

1.How About Orange! OMG I am IN LOVE with this blog  ( to put it mildly) I actually JUST found it this past weekend while checking another Blog that mentioned it, ..the more and more I read, the more obsessed I become..so much so, that I ALMOST didn’t share it with you!! ha!! isn’t that sick…there are so so many great DIY ideas, and fun links..look below at just a few! ( hint: I also found the amazing bright snowflake gift topper, that I mentioned on my Sunday Snippet). If you have a minute, you must check it out, I swear you will look for an hr.!

DIY Magnets made from Pantone color chips!! LOVE! I am currently stealing this idea, and attempting to make magnets out of family photos for “L” to play with. So far, its not working so well, but I am going to keep trying, and promise to show you when I am done! She also gives a step by step on how to create these super cute frame decals..along with a million other great DIY tutorials and Fun “Time Wasters” that include quizzes and online doodle makers!!

2. Young House Love ! No blog obsession list is complete with out adding YHL ( that’s what us “regulars” refer to them as HA! that sounded so cheesy..I don’t care…I actually laughed.well, snorted really, when I wrote YHL..not sure why..anyway..moving on)  I have mentioned them numerous times before! A hip young couple now with a baby    ( for me..a cheesy mama, that just made me more obsessed) Who started by sharing great ideas and tips from their first home, and are now on their second! such great style and taste, cost conscious and so candid too!! Oh and did I mention they are BRILLIANT designers!!  here are some smaller things of theirs, that are my favs!

3. The Rockstar Diaries– This is a great blog that doesn’t have A lot to do with Interior Design, but more about “Life” Design- Normal ,everyday things that look beautiful through the eyes of this husband, wife, baby, and bulldog family. The photography is great, and the content is funny and down to earth, after you read this blog, you will say “I could be friends with them” 🙂  Here is pic of them..so cute, right?!





4. Design*ology interiors – A great blog written by interior designer,  artist, and owner of Design* Ology Interiors, Merry Stephenson. I heart this blog on SO many levels. First, she has amazing ideas, and also lets us ( the reader) peek into her craft projects, home renovations of her 1910 Craftsman style home, and her many great finds from local flea markets. She also has an Etsy shop (that I have mentioned in THIS post) called All Things Winged. Oh, yea..and she is a great friend of mine that I miss terribly. Here are a few of her pics.



5. Cupcakes and Cashmere– This awesome blog not only has great home ideas, it also has fashion, recipes and beautiful photography! the L.A based Author, fills her posts with so many different topics, that all have one thing in common, Beautiful Trends… I love that one day she will feature how to organize your closet, and the next, an amazing summer Orzo recipe, followed by the hottest Bags/Shoes/Nail polish!! Candid peeks into her shoe collection, and her favorite things, make you feel like you have a tiny finger on the pulse of whats cool. I love this blog!! Here are a few of her pics

5. Poppytalk– Another blog that I can NOT get enough of!! it is here, that I found my love for other blogs ( How about Orange, mentioned above, and just recently Scouts Honor Co) I love this blog the most because they feature new and amazing artists, designer bloggers in the field of design! always great ideas, and great interviews!! a few of their pics below

6. Deidre on Design– Author of this blog and owner of Deidre Remtema Design, Deidre showcases great design trends, and talks candidly about her life, in Michigan ( see latest post Snow Snow go away ) Not only did I go to Kendall College of Art and Design with Deidre, she is also an extremely talented Harpist, who played at my wedding!!
