Hi Y’all!!! It hasn’t even been two months yet since we have arrived in Nashville, but we already feel so connected to this city!! Every new place we visit, we see the same thing..a relaxed vibe, “Vintage Cool” decor and friendly people!! The members of this community are DIE HARD East Nashvillians, and I love that !! The restaurants, art galleries and little shops, give it a super sweet, hometown feel, and everyone is so approachable! Our new Neighbors even left warm chocolate chip cookies on our front door last week, with a note that said “We are so happy that you are part of our neighborhood! Welcome” how nice is that!!?? I just about cried. Anyway, I wanted to show you just a few spots around town that Grant and I have been to, or that I just love the look of! I haven’t even began to share what the actual CITY has to offer, this is just my neighborhood of East Nashville/5 points/Rosebank/Lockland Springs area ( about 6 miles outside of Nashville the city)
Is this not the coolest building ever?…well guess what? its an antique shop (M&M) right down from our house!!! Awesome finds if you dig!!
Then there is ‘The Family Wash” sounds like a local laundromat right?? I thought it was, until our friends told us about Tuesday nights at “The Wash”!! Its A restaurant, and every Tuesday night, there is a line that wraps into the little neighborhood while people wait their turn to have a “Pint and Pie” for 10 bucks!! Shepherds Pie and a pint of beer!! SO FUN!!!
Local artist show their talent on buildings sprinkled through out East Nashville!
And how about the Weenery!! seriously!! East Nashvilles version of the “Food Truck” you know us former New Yorkers LOVE us some food truck food!! Especially weeners. Yum.
YUM!
I Love that our neighborhood is very conscious on all levels..well….most levels..especially on Local Grown, Alternative means of transportation, and fresh ingredients! This is the back entrance to our favorite Deli!
( Mitchell Deli!) The have their own garden right behind the deli! Love knowing where my lettuce comes from 😉
I don’t know who this house belongs to..but I kind of love it, and it really tells a story about the area where we hope to raise our children!! ps..also love the chartrues colored house next door..bold move home owners..I LOVE IT!Oh and Happy Hump Day!!! 😉
