If you are an everyday reader of design thoughts, ( thank you!) then you know that I love to paint. I have an on again off again relationship with it..painting is like..my artistic booty call…I love it, it feels good when I am doing it, but I feel like I don’t have time for a real life relationship with it..so I dabble when I can, and I enjoy every minute of it..and oh yeah..I have been with my husband since I was 17…so I am only referencing what my friends (NO, no..not YOU..the OTHER friends) have told me about booty calls..am I losing focus? RIGHT..painting!!
SO, a few things have come up in LIFE in the last few weeks, chalk it up to transition, or change, or big things about to happen, but I am feeling VERY tense around everything, well, I was, until last night. I had an amazing call with a dear friend and Mentor of mine, Marin Bach-Antonson of Riseupgoddess.com. From that phone call, I was able to reset my perspective, recharge my creativity, and get excited, really EXCITED about a few things that are about to happen in my life! ( ps..she’s amazing like that!) anyway, as I was wrapping my head around bundles of paperwork this morning, my spotify playlist got stuck on The Beatles, “Let it Be”, without even thinking, I dropped what I was doing, and started painting. I NEED this lesson in front of me at all times!! Don’t we all? “There Will be an answer, let it be” ahhhhhh!! SO.PERFECT!! so here is what I created!! I will be hanging it in my hallway, I think..but that may change, stay tuned !! Enjoy the rest of your Friday!
I used acrylic paints on watercolor paper. I think the key is not to be perfect when creativity strikes, just do it with what you got!!
