Unexpected time…

As I drove into work this morning, it occurred to me that I really do not take the time to look at all the beautiful things I pass by every single day.  The truth is, I love beauty. I am great at selecting beautiful things for people, and for myself, and I do really try to breath in the beauty that surrounds me. But lately, it seems I have been so caught up in creating my Design Thoughts Empire ( too dramatic? haha) that I have taken for granted some of the every day things. So, today as I waited in an incredibly looong line of New York traffic, I took a minute to look around, I was right in front of a beautiful church, the sun was shining SO brightly on the stained glass window, that I was literally in aww….let me just interject a bit of my vulnerability here, I always get nervous when I share THIS type of story, worried that people are going to judge me, or think that I am making it up..its part of my journey…getting over my insecurities, so I needed to share…okay moving on…after seeing this intense beauty, I got to my office, and found that NO ONE was there! I had just given my key to a “full timer”, so,  I no longer had mine. This meant, I was given, a gift of 30 minutes. 30 minutes to do with what I want!! ( the next employee gets in at 9am) So, here I am, at Starbucks, writing a blog post from my phone, enjoying my skinny, extra hot, caramel Macchiato, breathing in this pocket of time, to be doing EXACTLY what I want.  Understanding, the message the Universe is telling me, “To get time, you have to give time” 🙂 so, I will be giving a lot more time, the rewards are unbelievable 🙂
